We got to admit, we’re in love with the Mah Jong modular sofas from Roche Bobois. It’s hard not to. And we know – there are many people out there who are just like us, who cannot take their eyes away from these artistic furniture creations.
Roche Bobois has recently came up with their newest yet Mah Jong sofa design composition, and we thought we would the opportunity to remind everyone just how beautiful these sofas are by showcasing all of the designs at once.
Each modular design combines seat cushions, back and corner cushions that can be arranged into a practically unlimited number of configurations, and it’s even possible to place seat cushions one on top of another.
The original designer of the Mah Jong lounge sofas, Hans Hopfer, passed away in 2009, but his iconic creations will be carried forward as Roche Bobois’s most recognized designs. His sofas today are ‘dressed’ by some of the world’s most renowned fashion designers.
The joyful color palettes and the relaxing attitudes of the sofas can be referred to as ‘forever young’ decor style. The freedom of composition that these modular lounge systems allow encourages a completely new way of organizing living spaces.
